Nidette Nortje is a dynamic TV presenter, brand ambassador, influencer, and model based in Pretoria, South Africa. From a young age, Nidette dreamed of hosting TV shows, and in 2023, her dream became a reality when she was announced as the overall winner of SterStatus Season 5 and the TV presenter for SterStatus Season 6.
In addition to her TV work, Nidette is an experienced MC, actress, and model, and she serves as a fashion judge, lending her expertise to various industry events. Her diverse roles and talents continue to make her a prominent figure in the entertainment and fashion industries.

In addition to her TV work, she actively hosts quiz nights and karaoke events, which she thoroughly enjoys.
Nidette is also an entrepreneur, owning Go Brown Mobile Spray Tanning and NN MANAGEMENT, where she serves as a booking agent for artists. Her passion for TV presenting and acting drives her excitement for what 2025 holds, as she looks forward to exploring new opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Nidette’s charitable spirit is evident in her creation of Ribbon of Hope, a project where she refurbishes old clothing with positive messages and distributes them to those in need. Exclusive Interview
1. You mentioned that becoming a TV presenter has been a dream since childhood. How did it feel when that dream came true as the winner of SterStatus?
It was truly a dream come true. I was incredibly grateful to the Lord for giving me the opportunity to live out my dream and to continue dreaming even bigger. At the same time, I felt proud of myself for giving my all and working hard to achieve it.
2. As a brand ambassador for multiple companies, how do you balance your commitments and choose the brands you represent?
I believe in basing my decisions on strong values. If a brand stands out, presents itself well, and has a solid reputation, I don’t hesitate to represent them. I also maintain a structured schedule to ensure I dedicate equal attention to all my partnerships and manage my posts efficiently.
3. Hosting quiz nights and karaoke sounds like so much fun! What do you enjoy most about engaging with people in these kinds of events?
I have a deep love for communicating with people, which really stands out for me. What I enjoy most is seeing people’s responses during the quiz, how it brings families and friends together, and creates moments of joy and laughter. With karaoke, I love discovering the beautiful talents and unique voices that emerge, making it a truly special and fun gathering.
4. You’re an entrepreneur with both Go Brown Mobile Spray Tanning and NN Management. What inspired you to start these businesses, and what challenges have you faced along the way?
I started NN Management because I have a genuine passion for working with people who are equally passionate about their work. I enjoy every moment of it and have never regretted starting the company.
As for Go Brown, it was actually a prize I won at SterStatus, and although it wasn’t something I initially envisioned myself doing, I’ve grown to love it. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping someone feel beautiful and giving them that glowing look.
5. Your charity work with Ribbon of Hope is truly inspiring. Can you share the story behind how it started and what impact you’ve seen in the community so far?
I’ve always believed that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a lasting impact, not just on one person but on many others. When I included positive quotes with items like shirts or pants, I thought that if someone was having a bad day, month, or year, receiving something with an uplifting message could potentially change their outlook instantly.
While I’m still in the early stages of the charity project, I trust that it will have a significant positive impact, motivating people and bringing them closer to the Lord.
6. 2025 sounds like an exciting year for you. What are some of the key projects or opportunities you’re most looking forward to in the coming year?
I can’t share too many details just yet, but there are several exciting projects I’ll be tackling. Each year brings new surprises, and I trust that the Lord will open doors in the direction I’m meant to go. I’m really looking forward to what’s to come.
7. You’ve expressed a deep passion for TV presenting and acting. What are your long-term goals in the entertainment industry, and how do you see yourself evolving in those roles?
My dream is to host shows like Boer Soek ’n Vrou or Die Groot Ontbyt. It's truly a big goal of mine, and I want to fully immerse myself in this industry, taking advantage of every opportunity that comes my way. I believe that with each role you take on, there’s always room to learn and grow tremendously.
