EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
1. Your journey in modeling and equestrian sports is unique. How did you first get involved in both, and what drives your passion for each?
My journey in both modeling and equestrian sports is unique, as they come from very different worlds—being the “horsey girl” and the “fashion model.” However, I believe in balance. My passion for horses and riding is an integral part of my daily routine, while modeling allows me to express creativity and embrace the idea that #teamworkmakesthedreamwork. My passion for modeling began in high school, where I always preferred being in front of the camera, as I feel more photogenic and am a bit too short for the runway (smile). I strive to inspire women, just like me, to rise above any obstacle, to glow, and to grow into whatever their hearts desire. Women, reach beyond your limitations and believe in yourself. With my modeling career and my new fitness journey, I aim to show that all women are beautiful and deserve to be treated as such.
2. You’ve expressed a desire to give back through charity work. What causes are closest to your heart, and how do you envision using your success to make a difference?
This past year has been one of growth and challenges, where I’ve explored various paths and adventures. One cause that has become especially meaningful to me is the Kungwini Welfare Organisation in ZwavelPoort, Graham Road (Lynnwood). I have volunteered with this outstanding organization and would like to invite the community to support the Kungwini Welfare Organisation’s Annual Nickel Christmas Market, which will take place from November 27 to December. Please feel free to contact 012 940 0221 to make a difference in people’s lives. Let the spirit of Christmas fill all hearts with love and blessings. I hope to expand my involvement in community work and social activities to reach out even more in 2025.
3. As someone who finds joy in yoga and gardening, how do these activities influence your mindset and approach to life’s challenges?
Yoga and gardening teach me mindfulness, patience, and resilience, allowing me to stay centered and grateful even in difficult moments and to embrace the process of growth. My fitness journey has also been a significant part of this. As I work on my physical health, I’m reminded that every step, no matter how small, is progress. Discipline and hard work truly make a difference, not just in the body, but in how we carry ourselves through life’s challenges. This journey is not just about physical transformation—it’s about building inner strength and resilience.
4. With so many aspirations—from acting and TV presenting to becoming a full-time model—what are some of the biggest goals you're excited to pursue in the next few years?
In the past year, I’ve had the privilege of taking significant steps toward my dreams. One highlight was being part of the short film Die Matriekafskeid, which aired on KykNET SPEELTONEEL via Kanaal 147 in February. I had the honor of working with the incredible Sean van Noordwyk, who has been a fantastic mentor during our three months of training together with our Speeltoneel family. It truly sparked my passion for acting. While I haven’t auditioned for new roles yet, I am open to embracing any opportunity that presents itself in the future. I believe that every role and experience brings valuable growth, and I’m ready to take on more projects when the right ones come my way.
5. You mentioned that beauty, to you, comes from the heart. How has this perspective shaped your journey and the connections you've made along the way?
I truly believe that beauty radiates from within. This perspective has been fundamental in shaping both my personal journey and the connections I’ve made along the way. When you focus on cultivating kindness, confidence, and self-love from the inside, it transforms not just how you see yourself but how you interact with the world around you. I’ve learned that the most meaningful relationships are built on authenticity, compassion, and mutual respect, rather than superficial traits. In my journey through modeling and charity work, I’ve always tried to stay true to who I am. When you approach life from a place of sincerity and empathy, you attract people who share similar values. This mindset has allowed me to collaborate with individuals who have inspired and motivated me this year.
6. You’ve met amazing people who continue to support you on your journey. Who has inspired you the most, and how have they impacted your life?
There are so many individuals who have contributed to my growth and success, and it’s difficult to single out just one. However, I must express my heartfelt appreciation to Liezl Nortje from Boutique Couture. Her creative designs not only dressed me to perfection for every shoot but also brought warmth and positivity to my journey. Another significant milestone was having the opportunity to walk the runway in a few dresses designed by Marlize of Immagika Creative Designs at Ilze Haasbroek’s @Growing Moments event to celebrate Women’s Day, alongside Tsebo, CANSA (The Cancer Association of South Africa), Duck & Dine, and Immagika Creative Designs
I am beyond grateful to all my colleagues, friends, family, makeup artists, and hairdressers for their unwavering support and for making 2024 an unforgettable year. Thank you all for being a part of this incredible journey!
7. Looking ahead, what are some dreams or projects you’re most excited to pursue, and how do you hope they will shape your future?
Beauty, to me, is not just about physical appearance but about the energy we give off, the way we treat others, and the love we cultivate within ourselves. This belief has made me approach every new experience with an open heart, and I’ve found that this openness has led me to incredible opportunities and remarkable people along the way. This year has been an incredible journey, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most talented and inspiring people in the industry, from photographers in Cape Town and Gauteng. I’m looking forward to entering the Opulent Fitness category in the 2025 competition and to further expanding my modeling career, all while continuing to cultivate meaningful connections and personal growth.
