I’ve been doing photography for more than 15 years. I started with wildlife and sports photography and had my work published a few times in our local newspaper. Later, I became interested in photographing people. It was challenging at first, as I had no idea how to pose a model. Fortunately, I worked with many patient models who guided me through the process.

I primarily work with female models and still find posing male models challenging, which is why there are very few photos of men in my portfolio. I am an amateur photographer and often work on a TFCD (Time for CD) basis. The genres I enjoy most are portrait photography and on-location shoots.

I have a small studio at home, where I’ve created a lot of magic over the years. I love experimenting with light and colors, as well as incorporating planned shadows, which I believe add beauty and depth to photos. Shooting black-and-white photos always amazes me, especially when working with high-contrast scenes. The end results are consistently a pleasant surprise.

I am very experimental in my photography and always use the latest gadgets. I particularly love gel shoots, where vibrant colors interact beautifully with skin tones and different clothing textures. It’s probably my favorite photography technique.

I am 59 years old, have been married for 33 years, and have one son. I’ve lived in Ninapark, Pretoria North, for the past 25 years and am a big Bulls supporter.
